"Not since 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' has there been such a captivating ahd hilarious one-woman show!" --www.lively-arts.com

Kingston-born writer and performer Debra Ehrhardt left Jamaica at age 15. A New York-trained actress, she has appeared in numerous plays and soap operas in the 'Big Apple' before moving to the west coast. Debra began writing plays based on her life experiences in Jamaica and the US, and after 15 years in the American entertainment industry, her first production, called Mango Mango, was a one-woman show that she performed. Staged at the famous Lee Strasberg Theatre in West Hollywood, California, Mango Mango was nominated for four NAACP Theatre Awards, including Best Actress and Best Playwright.

Ehrhardt, who considers herself "multi-racial", explained that as an actress, the American directors felt they couldn't typecast her in productions because they couldn't classify her as Spanish, black, white or whatever else came to mind.

"Then they wanted me to change my accent to sound more American," Debra continued, "I didn't want to lose any part of what made me unique. I decided to write roles for myself, where I wouldn't have to change a thing."
